Description

Amplify CKLA is the reading curriculum chosen by Phoenix Community Learning Center.  Amplify CKLA is based on a whole group/small group daily participation plan. Whole group learning opportunities occur daily with the introduction of key focus points.  The students will then practice these key focus points during small groups (break-out centers) learning model.  Students will work independently, with the teacher to experience multiple learning opportunities to master skills that align with Ohio Common Core Standards.  Virtual learning and technology are incorporated daily with several schools approved, research-based online programs such as ZOOM, Near Pod, and Study Island. 

Amplify CKLA also connects to our science and social studies curriculums by using non-fiction, informational texts with topics that allow students to make connections to the real world.
